Mountainside's

recycle program

The Mountainside Parent And Community Team (MPACT) would like to extend a HUGE Thank You to our event sponsors and the Mountainside High School community for participating in and supporting MPACT’s 3rd Annual Earth Day Recycling Event!

  • Thank you to Peter Van Houten, General Manager of Bob's Metals, for offering your partnership, expertise and guidance in order for MPACT to offer this service to our community.

  • Thank you to Ed Wong, General Manager of Al's Garden and Home in Sherwood, for providing logistical coordination, Al's wonderful venue space and for promoting the event on Al's website.

  • Thank you to Dutch Bros and Sesame Donuts for generously donating coffee, hot chocolate and delicious donuts.

  • Thank you to Beaverton School District for donating 330 chrome books to be recycled.

  • Thank you to the many student volunteers who were the backbone of our operation, assisting with unloading, sorting, dismantling laptops and computers for their valuable metals, and cleaning up.

  • Thank you to the MPACT Board members, especially Paul Fracasso and Julie Blaufuss, for your countless hours of event coordination leading up to and during our Earth Day Recycling Event!

With the money raised, MPACT will award ten $500 scholarships to ten seniors who are pursuing post-secondary education starting in the fall of 2023.

We love our seniors! Go Mavs!
