We also need volunteers for the day of the event and here is the info for that:Mountainside Parent and Community Team (MPACT) is holding their annual Earth Day Recycle Event on Saturday, April 18th at Al's Garden Center : 16920 SW Roy Roger Rd, Sherwood OR 97140.

We are asking for about 30 student volunteers (or more) to help during the event.

 

There are three shifts available for sign-up. If available, you can volunteer for multiple shifts.

 

Tasks may include:

 

- Helping customers unload items from their car and moving them to our recycle sorting areas

- Sorting items to properly identify recycle content (wires, metals, electronics, etc)

- Prepping recycle materials (cutting wires, dismantling electronics, disposing of plastics, etc.)

- Set up and/or Clean UpTools/Work gloves will be supplied, or feel free to bring your own.

 

Please dress appropriately for the day's weather and wear closed-toe shoes. I

 

If you cannot lift objects, we do have several jobs that can be done from a seated position.
