We are asking for about 30 student volunteers (or more) to help during the event. There are three shifts available for sign-up. If available, you can volunteer for multiple shifts.
Tasks may include:
-
Helping customers unload items from their car and moving them to our recycle sorting areas
-
Sorting items to properly identify recycle content (wires, metals, electronics, etc)
-
Prepping recycle materials (cutting wires, dismantling electronics, disposing of plastics, etc.)
-
Set up and/or Clean Up
Tools/Work gloves will be supplied, or feel free to bring your own. Please dress appropriately for the day's weather and wear closed-toe shoes. If you cannot lift objects, we do have several jobs that can be done from a seated position.
